Some of these services include: Dental FillingsDental fillings are used to remedy damage caused to a tooth by decay. Your Pacific Ave Dental dentist will first remove the decay and clean the site with a special antiseptic wash. After cleaning up the site your dentist will then apply the tooth filling material, which is composed of either amalgam gold, composite or silver. Composite fillings are often recommended as they bond directly to the tooth, unlike traditional fillings, and they are more aesthetically pleasing.Dental BondingDental bonding is a restorative procedure in which your Pacific Ave Dental dentist will repair a damage tooth in an effort to restore it to a natural looking state. The bonding material used during dental bonding is made of ceramic resin that is applied directly to the prepared tooth. Prior to brushing on the bonding material the tooth must be roughened to allow the material to firmly attach to the natural tooth. Once the material is applied it is then hardened with a special intense light. Your dentist may recommend dental bonding to repair tooth decay damage, to fill gaps between teeth, to improve the alignment of the teeth or to improve the tooth appearance.Dental CrownsDental crowns are used to restore teeth that have been severely damaged due to decay or injury. Before placing your crown your Pacific Ave Dental dentist will first prepare the tooth by cleaning and shaping the tooth to allow room for the crown. The structure of a dental bridge is made up of one or more artificial teeth that are anchored in place by existing natural teeth, an implant or a dental crown. It may be recommended that you get a dental bridge placed to help restore your bite or to prevent remaining teeth from shifting; which could lead to a wide array of dental issues.
